Coastal Jazz and Blues Society is a community-based, non-profit, charitable arts organization located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Since 1986 Coastal Jazz and Blues Society has contributed vigorously to the local, national and international jazz scene. Our vision encompasses a wide spectrum of jazz, blues, world, creative, and improvised music, including evolving forms of jazz and the technologies and media that influence jazz as an art form.

The story of Coastal Jazz and Blues Society is the story of determination, passion, idealism, community, and of course, music. From the very beginning, Coastal Jazz and Blues Society has worked diligently to establish Vancouver as a centre for the creation and exchange of sounds and ideas between the local, national and international music community. Our mission is to not only increase the appreciation of the music, but to strengthen the arts community by developing special projects, artistic exchanges, partnerships, educational initiatives, community programs, and collaborations that further the art form. In fact, our openness to a wide spectrum of music has not only drawn attention to the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, it has nurtured and developed numerous musicians in the local, national, and international scene. Providing extensive opportunities for our 'home-grown' artists to collaborate with the best in the world is very important to us.

Coastal Jazz is also committed to actively supporting year-round programming initiatives that strengthen links with diverse communities and a range of arts presenters in Vancouver. The organization has consistently recognized the value of community partnerships that increase the appreciation of the music, strengthen the local arts community, and work to celebrate and animate the cityscape. By taking creative music to locations such as parks, community centres, concert halls, clubs, public plazas, diverse neighborhoods and streets, Coastal Jazz contributes substantially to Vancouver's vibrant community.

Boise Pride, Inc was formed to produce events for the local community that will bring the community together in the acceptance and equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Idaho. The origins of pride in Idaho date back to 1990, when the first decision was made to create awareness of the GLBT community. Since that first event, Idaho people have celebrated pride in many different ways. Boise Pride, Inc, being the most recent achievement in the history of pride in Boise, by the formation of our non-profit organization to solely focus on the pride festival and events throughout the year. We are the premier provider for all pride related events in the greater Boise area, providing an opportunity for the entire Idaho community to learn more about the LGBT community.
