Hotel Victoria - Toronto
Buoyed by a century of success, the Hotel Victoria is Toronto’s most venerable boutique hotel. Designed by renowned Canadian architect J.P. Hynes in 1909, and constructed as the first fireproof building in North America, the hotel first opened as the “Hotel Mossop.” The Hotel was renamed the “Victoria” in the 1920s, paying tribute to the Queen. Ever preserving her illustrious past, the Grande Dame of Yonge street is decidedly modern, and has retained her character through a 1980s transformation of the lobby into an airy atrium of architectural steel and glass panels, and her most recent transformation in 2011: a complete designer rejuvenation to celebrate her centennial.
Overview
All of our 56 newly renovated, designer guestrooms offer new beds with pillow top mattresses, fine linens and duvets, hardwood floors, 32” LCD TVs, and custom designed, modern furniture. Our completely renovated bathrooms feature brand new spacious bathtubs, glass shower stalls and large sinks, and are decorated with a rich mosaic tile. All rooms are non-smoking.
