Sun-soaked Perth is Australia’s fourth-largest city, boasting a population of more than 1.6 million people.
There are several gay bars, clubs and gay friendly accommodations in Perth and in October, the city goes pink for the annual Pride festival. If you’re a film buff, you’ll definitely want to check out the International Arts Festival in February.
There’s a number of tourist attraction that will keep you busy during your stay including the legendary 1904 His Majesty’s Theatre and the diverse range of works featured in the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts. The local Zoo and Old Mill are also favorites and if you’re with that special someone, enjoy a river cruise along the Swan.
Nestled away from the city is Swanbourne Beach at the northern end of North Cottesloe. This is a well-known place to find nudists and a great spot for cruising hot guys.
Perth has many LGBT sports and social groups, including one of Australia’s largest bear clubs -Bears Perth Inc. The Gay and Lesbian Singers of Western Australia also meet regularly and are always looking for new vocalists!
